Our Founders...

MR.PRASAD

Mr. Prasad is a civil engineering graduate from Siddaganga Institute of Technology, Tumkur. Though trained in engineering, his heart was always with the land and he returned to work on the farm soon after graduating. He is also a rural entrepreneur, innovator, and nature educator who regularly interacts with farmers, school children, young entrepreneurs and the general public. 

His work promotes sustainable living, organic farming, biodiversity, ecological sustainability, and clean, chemical-free food production. He is deeply committed to passing on practical knowledge that supports long-term well-being — for both people and the planet. 

MRS.YOGITHA

Since the very beginning, Mrs. Yogitha has been the heart and steady hand behind Prakruthivanam. With a deeply personal commitment to the farm’s mission, she remains actively involved in day-to-day operations—overseeing practices, mentoring staff, coordinating programs, and ensuring that every decision aligns with the farm’s values. Her steady leadership has not only shaped the practical rhythm of the farm but has also fostered a welcoming environment where sustainability, education, and local partnerships thrive.

Together, they saw that changing climate conditions and water scarcity meant they had to look beyond just farming. 

A SHARED VISION

Their shared vision led them to expand their efforts—creating value-added products, working with the local community, and promoting sustainable living through example and education. In 2011, they co-founded Prakruthivanam as a space dedicated to organic farming, native seeds, cow conservation, and traditional food systems. Both remain closely involved in the farm and its growing activities.
